At Temple Sounds we work with individuals all over the Himalayas to ethically source the best antique singing bowls.
A beautiful genuine antique therapy grade Ultabati singing bowl ethically sourced from Nepal.
Ultabati bowls are usually thin walled and light weight. The bowls can be very large, up to 14” and small, down to around 7” diameter. Ancient bowls usually have a more definite cauldron shape and will have more decoration. Many Ultabati are dual texture with smooth interiors, some are black all over with mirror like interiors.
Excellent bowls for therapy on the body, they are light, have good energy and feel alive when played in the hand. Bowls of similar frequency can achieve fantastic entrainment. Most large bowls are 2nd octave with complex soundscapes and extremely pleasing frequencies. The smaller examples are usually 3rd octave and reminiscent of complex tantrik bowl sounds. Some Ultabati bowls are ancient. Most are around 100-200 years old, with the very large ornate examples being up to 500 years old.
