A wonderful, rare, antique Shaman Medicine singing bowl. This is a flat bottomed shallow 'thalli' shape bowl, very rare shape with excellent energy and sustain. This bowl shows extensive decoration around the outer wall. A very old bowl.
These bowls were used for earth / water magic medicine bowls and mandala rituals. A thick walled and heavy bowl for the size.
Comes with a hardwood playing stick and cushion pad.
These bowls are meant to be struck but rim play is good in this case with wood and felt.
Evidence of oxidisation, staining commensurate with age and use. The bowl has been wiped over only.
