At Temple Sounds we work with individuals all over the Himalayas to ethically source the best antique singing bowls.
A beautiful genuine antique therapy grade, rare Thadobati cup singing bowl ethically sourced from Nepal.
Thadobati can be thin or thick walled, light weight or heavy, large and small. Older bowls usually have thick walls and are embellished with punch marks, ritual slashes or sun motifs.
Excellent bowls for therapy, they have good energy and feel alive when played in the hand. Larger bowls of similar frequency can achieve fantastic entrainment. Small (cup) thado of many frequencies can be collected and will produce amazing sounds when played together.
Rim play is always very easy.
Some Thado are ancient. Most are around 100-200 years old, with the very thick walled examples being up to 500 years old.
The bowls can be dual texture, some with lines outside and inside, smooth sided or showing hammer marks. All Thadobati have a wide flat bottom and gently sloping but straight sides.
